Before you start
Tools Needed
Screwdriver - Gamebit & Philips
Cotton Buds

Difficulty Level -
Beginner
This part of the process does not require a high level of skill
Can take 10 - 30 minutes
Let's Begin
Step One - Remove screws
Remove the 6 Philips screws and 1 Gamebit screw as highlighted in the picture:

Step Two - detatch the cable links
Pull on the cables at the points shown

Step Three - MainBoard, speaker and buttons
Now move the back half of the Game Gear holding the sound and power boards to one side.
Remove the 8 screws holding the game gear board on to the shell.
The main board will now lift out.

Removing the Speaker
Remove all of the buttons and put them to one side.
The speaker is pinned down by a plastic bracket, this bracted is slightly melted to the plastic.
All that is needed here is to lift the bracket with a small amount of pressure underneath.
The bracket will pop off, and the speaker will lift out.

Now just give it a quick clean with IPA.

Step Four - Sound and Power Boards
Skip this step if you are just using one colour throughout
All that is left to do now is remove:
- Game shield – The siler plate in the center, there are 4 screws to remove then lift the shielding off.
- Battery coverSmall Plasti piece covering the batter hole, stuck on with glue, just pull this off.
- Sound Board – Two screws on the left of the shell as bellow remove and the board will lift out.
- Power Board – Two screws on the right of the shell as bellow remove and the board will lift out.
